Gutted! but needs must.
Massive clear out 'fire sale' from my many stashing places and sided project parts. business needs a 'cash injection' so combined with i just have'n the time to get my car together casuse i have to work my nads off.

so the following are up for sale :

2e block covered 80k [from previous car] fitted with g60 head [was rebuilt 4>5k ago, new seals, valves ground, reskimed, polished & ported] new head bolts and head gasket, never fitted in car. as is in picture; no cam , cover,
comes without engine stand

very rare mk2 Golf front end, some of the mounts have been repaired [fibreglass], fits original mouting points on car, however slam pannel needs modification [removal of original headlamp holders] to fit, painted in matt black [wet look is water from damp cloth wipeover] is a little scuffed in places: never seen another 1 in the flesh last 1 i saw went for over £250 on ebay....

pb [mk2 8v head] 80k miles but missing 1 bearing cap ok when removed £20

yes? however i think that the stud diameter on the mk3 heads are about 1mm wider and a poss a little longer [due to the ali cover being thicker than the steel cover].
I have some older heads with solid lifters kicking around somewhere from mk1 scirocco/golf; i'll do a trial fit [probably be sunday] and get back with a better answer.

G60 one should fit, you'll have to use the correct gasket though.

yes, i can confim that the cover will fit a pb head.
gaskets? the mk3 8v & g60 gasket, made of 'rubber' have smaller holes [i think that are reinforced with steel washers] are are struggle to get on [oh err missis] i have used the cork gasket with rubber half moons in the past with some sucess.....

that's not the polo 8v cover there.

That's a 2E.

A polo 8v won't fit. Three bolts in the middle rather than around the outside for starters.

The one in the pic will fit, the only real difference is the location of the oil breather and cap thing.
